International scientific and practical conference

 ‘Early career teachers: Induction and professional development’

Aim of the conference:

exchange of research results and experience related to the professional development of early career teachers and their adaptation; discussion of existing and search for new approaches to mentoring early career teachers.

The conference will focus on:

  1. Professional development and self-development of early career teachers;

  2. Competency-based approach to teacher training;

  3. Early career teachers’ expertise;

  4. Development of early career teachers’ professional stand in the system of postgraduate training;

  5. Teacher training in the context of modernizing the system of teacher education (national/international experience);

  6. Challenges met when training early career teachers to implement innovative approaches in scientific and methodological work;

  7. Models of early career teachers’ adaptation at work;

  8. Relation between theory and practice in subject teacher training of early career teachers;

  9. Psychological and pedagogical support during early career teachers’ professional activities;

  10. Self-development of early career teachers.

The range of issues may be expanded under the conference theme.

Leading educators in the field of subject teacher education together with the editors of foreign peer-reviewed journals indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases will take part in the conference.

Members of education management organizations, both regional and municipal, teachers, practitioners, management representatives from general, vocational and high educational institutions, researchers working in the field of theory and practice of subject teacher education are invited to take part in the conference.
