
Maria Alzira de Almeida Pimenta
PhD in Education from the State University of Campinas, Master in Arts from the University of São Paulo and graduated in Pedagogy from the State University of Campinas. Has experience in Elementary School as a teacher, director and coordinator of Youth and Adult Education. In College, taught in the courses of Business, Tourism and Pedagogy, subjects dealing with: Management, Communication, Organizational Culture, and Administration. Professor at the Graduate Program in Education and the Graduate Program in Communication and Culture at the University of Sorocaba. It is associated with the International Study Association on Teachers and Teaching (ISATT) and the International Council for Education on Teaching (ICET). Researcher at Red Interuniversitária Euroamericana de Investigacion (Alfamed) and RIDEP – Rede Internacional de Pesquisas sobre Desenvolvimento Profissional de Professores. Participate on International research: “Globalization and Teacher Education in the BRICS Countries: the positioning of research and practice”, at IRN-WERA, and “Internética: Truth and ethics in social networks. Educational perceptions and influences in young Twitter, Instagram and YouTube users”, at Red Alfamed.Leader of the Research Group on Higher Education, Technology and Innovation (RGHTI). His research deals with teacher education, learning assessment, media competence, academic fraud and ethics.
