Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the 6th convocation (2016-2020), member of the Committee on Legislation and Judicial and Legal Reform of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Author of more than 200 publications on the problems of criminal punishment’s individualization, theory and practice of criminal punishment’s assignment, historical and theoretical aspects of national legislation.
Nurlan Dulatbekov is the leader of the project “Karlag: memory for the future”, the author of the book “Famine of 1931-1933 in Central Kazakhstan: causes and consequences (Macmillan Publishers, 2023).
