Full member of the Russian Academy of Education (Department of Educational Philosophy and Theoretical Pedagogy), Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Education (1997-2008), Editor-in-Chief of the Pedagogy Journal (1992-2008). He graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of the Lomonosov Moscow State University (1961).
Vladimir Borisenkov worked as a UNESCO expert in French-speaking African countries for several years, since 1961 up to now he is involved in teaching at secondary and higher educational institutions.
He was Editor-in-Chief of a leading pedagogical journal and Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Research interests: Comparative Education, History of School and Pedagogy in Foreign Countries and Russia, Education in Developing Countries (India, Arabian East, Tropical Africa), Theory and Practice of Pedagogical Research Implementation, Methodology Of Education.
