For the first time, a KFU research project was supported by the World Association for Educational Research WERA

Among the five new international research networks (IRN) of the World Association for Educational Research WERA was a project by scientists from the Institute of Psychology and Education of Kazan University.

The World Educational Research Association (WERA) has announced the launch of New International Research Networks (IRN). Among the five initiatives is the project of scientists of the Institute of Psychology and Education of the KFU "Globalization and Teacher Education in the BRICS Countries: Positioning Research and Practice, Promoting the Integration of University-School Systems", headed by Professor KFU Rosa Valeeva, Honorary Professor of Oxford University, Vice-President of the British Association of Pedagogical research, Ian Menter and professor from the Federal University of Triangulo Mineiro (Brazil) Martha Prata-Linares.

- The WERA IRN project was created in 2010. It brings together global teams of researchers through virtual communication and other channels for collaboration in specific areas of international importance, says a press release posted on the WERA website. - The aim of IRN is to synthesize knowledge, study the state of research and stimulate cooperation or otherwise identify promising directions in research areas of global importance. Five new networks are joining existing IRNs, contributing to the WERA vision.

- The Russian project, announced on behalf of Kazan University, was for the first time supported by the World Association for Educational Research. Before that, we participated in projects announced by our foreign colleagues, - explained Roza Alekseevna.

The processes of globalization and international integration have a strong influence on the system of teacher education in different countries of the world: new agents are involved in the process of teacher education, its universalization is increasing, the content of teacher education is being transformed, new educational technologies are being developed, innovative systems for assessing and accrediting future and illegitimate teachers are being created. , the transformation of the classical model of didactics into digital didactics is carried out. The above tendencies are challenges to the teacher education system in different countries of the world, as well as in the BRICS countries, since they require new action algorithms, complicate communication processes and sharply actualize the issue of increasing the competence potential of all participants. the process of teaching teachers. Each country, each national education system differs in its specificity and typicality, variability and immutability.

The proposed KFU WERA-IRN is designed to identify the processes taking place in the BRICS countries in relation to the positioning of research and practice, as well as integration between higher education institutions and basic schools, especially when it comes to the professional development of teachers.

- We want to conduct a historical and pedagogical analysis of the formation of international systems for practice-oriented teacher training in order to identify advanced authentic models of organizing teacher education in the context of globalization. To typologize effective models of practical teacher training in partner countries, determining the level of conjugation of educational policy, theory, practice and research in the analyzed systems, as well as scientifically substantiate the adaptive educational potential of international systems of practical teacher training in the context of globalization of education.

KFU's IRN is expected to produce meaningful reports that pool knowledge from around the world and outline promising research directions.
