ADVANTAGES OF THE NEW VIRTUAL FORMAT OF IFTE-2020
virtualIFTE-2020 is a unique opportunity to present, discuss and promote research results of leading Russian and foreign scholars in the field of teacher education in a virtual format. Success of the virtualIFTE-2020 depends on our joint efforts and the willingness to create a common productive and interactive academic space.
video lectures by the keynote speakers will be available on the official IFTE website (http://ifte.kpfu.ru/en/home-page/) and the Forum official YouTube channel: International Forum on Teacher Education (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvd2s– ZorVeXD7Vl2aocrg/).
live (synchronous) round tables, international symposiums, online SIG meetings and sessions: any individual paper accepted to IFTE-2020 is now able to present as a virtual paper at virtualIFTE-2020. To be included in the final virtualIFTE-2020 Program, you should upload an abstract and a recording no longer than 15 minutes in length. For that, you can make a screen recording of a PowerPoint presentation accompanied by the speaker’s voiceover. The guidelines are here http://ifte.kpfu.ru/en/for-speakers/. In the event of a technical error, the moderator will be able to use your video presentation at the meeting to demonstrate to participant. Participants will be able to discuss their papers during online discussions. Each discussion session will last for 120 minutes and will have one or two moderators. Each participant enters the session using an individual personal account that will be created for each participant at the time of the Forum. A video presentation and an abstract of each participant will be posted on the forum website a few days before the online discussion so that each participant in the meeting can get acquainted in advance with the research results of colleagues participating in the online meeting. To access the session each participant will be provided a link to the Forum platform – Microsoft Teams. Recording of round tables, symposia, workshops, SIG meetings, paper sessions as well as panel discussions will be available on the Forum’s official YouTube channel: International Forum on Teacher Education or via the link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvd2s–ZorVeXD7Vl2aocrg/
poster sessions: this format requires preparing a poster based on results of a study and a recording for 5-10 minutes which will be posted on the virtualIFTE-2020 platform. The guidelines are here http://ifte.kpfu.ru/en/for-speakers/. Participants will be able to discuss their posters with other Forum participants from May 27 to June 9, 2020 in discussion chats on the virtualIFTE-2020 registration platform (Lomonosov) and in Microsoft Teams. Forum materials will be available on the IFTE-2020 website or at https://event.kpfu.ru/eng/event/5975/
Virtual discussions with the Forum participants will be organized from May 27, 2020 to June 9, 2020 in virtual chat rooms, direct messages on the virtualIFTE-2020 registration platform ‘Lomonosov’ and webinars in Zoom, Microsoft Teams and other platforms.
