ADVANTAGES OF THE NEW VIRTUAL FORMAT OF IFTE-2020
virtualIFTE-2020 is a unique opportunity to present, discuss and promote research results of leading Russian and foreign scholars in the field of teacher education in a virtual format. Success of the virtualIFTE-2020 depends on our joint efforts and the willingness to create a common productive and interactive academic space.
live (synchronous) round tables, international symposiums, online SIG meetings and sessions Set of round tables, workshops and symposia descriptions; any individual paper accepted to IFTE-2020 is now able to present as a virtual paper at virtualIFTE-2020. To be included in the final virtualIFTE-2020 Program, you should upload an abstract and a recording no longer than 15 minutes in length. For that, you can make a screen recording of a PowerPoint presentation accompanied by the speaker’s voiceover. The guidelines are here . In the event of a technical error, the moderator will be able to use your video presentation at the meeting to demonstrate to participant. Participants will be able to discuss their papers during online discussions. Each discussion session will last for 120 minutes and will have one or two moderators. Each participant enters the session using an individual personal account that will be created for each participant at the time of the Forum. A video presentation and an abstract of each participant will be posted on the forum website a few days before the online discussion so that each participant in the meeting can get acquainted in advance with the research results of colleagues participating in the online meeting. To access the session each participant will be provided a link to the Forum platform – Microsoft Teams. Recording of round tables, symposia, workshops, SIG meetings, paper sessions as well as panel discussions will be available on the Forum’s official YouTube channel: International Forum on Teacher Education or via the link
poster sessions: this format requires preparing a poster based on results of a study and a recording for 5-10 minutes which will be posted on the virtualIFTE-2020 platform. The guidelines are here. Participants will be able to discuss their posters with other Forum participants from May 27 to June 9, 2020 in discussion chats on the virtualIFTE-2020 registration platform (Lomonosov) and in Microsoft Teams. Virtual discussions with the Forum participants will be organized from May 27, 2020 to June 9, 2020 in virtual chat rooms, direct messages on the virtualIFTE-2020 registration platform ‘Lomonosov’ and webinars in Zoom, Microsoft Teams and other platforms. The recordings will be available on the ‘Lomonosov’ platform and an official YouTube channel of the Forum: International Forum on Teacher Education.

Ulanbek Mambetakunov, the Vice President of the Kyrgyz Academy of Education, took part in the VI international forum on teacher education. According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Academy of Education, U.E. Mambetakunov notes that the main goal of the forum is to present, discuss and promote relevant scientific and educational research in the field of teacher education in times of transformation, choice and challenge; exchange of experience and discussion of questions on promising forms of academic and methodological support for innovative teacher education, new developments and achievements in the field of educational technologies, as well as strengthening academic cooperation between Russian and foreign teachers.
According to the KAO press service, Professor Mambetakunov presented a report “On the current state of teacher training in Kyrgyzstan” as part of the research group session “Strategies for the transformation of teacher education” (the goal of the group is to study modern transformation processes in teacher education, their genesis and development prospects, evolution of curricula, Russian and foreign management strategies in the field of teacher training). The moderator of the group was Professor Kalimullin (director of the Institute of Psychology and Education).
