Record Number of Applications Received for International Forum on Teacher Education IFTE

Registration of participants for the VII International Forum on Teacher Education IFTE has ended.

Despite the fact that the forum will be held in a mixed format (face-to-face at Kazan University and online on the Microsoft Teams platform), the organizers celebrate a record number of applications submitted.

-The application campaign of the forum again broke its own record last year and collected 1461 applications, including from 177 foreign scientists. Registration lasted a little over three months - from December 1 to March 10. During this time, scientists from 162 cities and 208 universities from 30 countries of the far and 8 countries of the near abroad have applied for the forum, ”said Aidar Kalimullin, IFTE co-chairman, director of the Institute of Psychology and Education at Kazan Federal University.

- From year to year, the International Pedagogical Education Forum IFTE demonstrates a steady growth in the number of participants, countries, speakers and submitted articles. The new record is a confirmation of this, - explained Tatyana Baklashova, executive director of IFTE, deputy director for international activities of IPO KFU. - Applications were submitted according to the established themes: "Teachers for children with special educational needs", "Trajectories of education in the era of extreme events", "Training of a teacher-educator in the XXI century."

In addition, for the first time in the history of the forum, a separate conference for young researchers will be organized. So, 614 undergraduate, specialist, graduate, graduate students conducting research in the field of education have registered for it (268 of them are young people from KFU).

Recall that in 2015, 165 colleagues from Russia and other countries took part in the forum, in 2017 - 400 scientists from 26 Russian and 38 foreign universities, in 2019 experts from 65 foreign and 93 Russian universities came to Kazan. In 2020, despite the technical difficulties of the organization and the unique online format, about 900 scientists from 29 countries (120 foreign colleagues) took part in the forum.

Now the Forum Organizing Committee is checking the applications sent to the forum.

This year, due to the huge amount of materials sent, it was decided to include no more than 180 best articles in the international collection.

Earlier, we wrote about the changes in the work of the VII International Forum on Teacher Education, which this year chose "Pedagogical Education: New Challenges and Goals" as its main theme.
