Scientists from the College of Education at the University of Texas at El Paso will take part in the Forum

Among the innovations announced by the organizers of the Forum this year was the holding of special meetings of scientific groups (Special Sessions) on three main topics: "Teachers for children with special educational needs", "Educational trajectories in the era of extreme events", "Training of a teacher-educator in the XXI century" ...

Teachers from the College of Education of the University of Texas at El Paso expressed their interest in taking part in the discussion of the above problems

Dr. Beverly Argus-Calvo, Associate Dean of the College of Education, said her colleagues' presentations will cover each of the three special topics.

- In my speech, I will describe the innovative programs at the undergraduate and graduate level in teacher education, special education and counseling, applied in our college. We would like our efforts under the Paso del Norte Education Research Partnership to lead to collaborative educational research partnerships, ”Dr. Beverly said in a comment.

The speaker of the Forum for the third time will be Professor of the University of Texas at El Paso Murat Choshanov.

We are proud to announce that since 2002, the College has trained over 8,500 teachers who work in schools throughout the El Paso region. Among the most recent awards, the college was ranked first in 2015 by The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education magazine for awarding the majority of bachelor's degrees in education to Hispanics in the country.

The college also serves the largest recruitment of master's degree students on the UTEP campus and has over 100 undergraduate doctoral programs. Recently, the Online Master of Bilingual Education was ranked 8th among Top Education Degrees (TED) Curriculum and Instruction Graduate Programs Available.
