Vitaliy Kantor, Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Laureate of the St. Petersburg Government Award for Outstanding Achievements in Higher and Secondary Vocational Education, Chairman of Dissertation Council No. 33.2.018.01 for defending candidate and doctoral theses at Herzen State Pedagogical University in the following specialties: 5.8.3. Special (Correctional) Pedagogy and 5.3.8. Corrective Psychology and Defectology, Member of the Public Council of the CIS Base Organization for Teacher Training, Retraining and Professional Development in Inclusive and Special Education.
Vitaliy Kantor is the author of over 250 scientific publications (monographs, articles, etc.), which establish the conceptual and applied psychological-pedagogical foundations of rehabilitation and educational activities for individuals with disabilities across various institutional settings. He actively researches issues of inclusive general and vocational education, focusing on: Professional and personal preparedness of diverse educator categories for implementing inclusive educational processes, Socio-psychological well-being of learners in inclusive environments, Social rehabilitation support for students. A significant research vector in V. Kantor's work also addresses social gerontological aspects of rehabilitation pedagogy and psychology.
