From 29 to 31 May, Kazan Federal University hosted the 10th Anniversary International Forum on Teacher Education IFTE-2024. Three fruitful, interesting days filled with scientific sessions, meetings of colleagues and friends, and a rich cultural program gave unforgettable impressions to the Forum participants.
IFTE-2024 once again brought together like-minded people from different states, in particular the BRICS alliance on the eve of the upcoming BRICS summit in Kazan, with the aim of strengthening scientific ties for new partnerships, introductions, and international co-operation in the new geopolitical situation.
As a result of three days of work, the Forum was attended by researchers, scientists and politicians from different parts of the world, young and experienced teachers and psychologists. At last count, the Forum's historical collection was enriched by the reports of scientists from 18 countries (including 6 near abroad and 11 far abroad), representing 88 cities, 128 universities and scientific organisations. The Forum hosted 505 speakers, 106 scientific sessions were held, 44 of them in hybrid format. 16 academicians and corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Education, more than 60 heads of universities acted as IFTE-2024 experts. The participants had a wonderful opportunity to share their experience and ideas, discuss joint projects and plans for the future, and delve deeper into the theme of the Forum ‘Research Transformation of Teacher Education: Tradition as a Basis for Innovation’.
The key agenda of the Forum: ‘IFTE-2024: BRICS Countries on the Way to Improve Teacher Training’. A unique opportunity to listen to the reports of key speakers not only from Russia (Viktor Basyuk, Elena Kazakova, Aydar Kalimullin, Roza Valeeva), but also from Brazil (Lucio Alvaro Marques), India (Balwant Singh, Meenakshi Ramuji Ingole), China (Kongman Rao), Hong Kong (Kenneth Sin), South Africa (Liesel Ebersön), Iran (Fariba Haghighi Irani), UAE (Solomon Arulraj David), Saudi Arabia (Intahab Alam Khan).
